WATERPROOFING

Product Overview

Application Process

KEMPEROL® products are cold liquid-applied resins which, when combined with KEMPEROL® fleece, cure to form a reinforced monolithic membrane for long-term waterproofing to practically any architectural element. KEMPEROL® membranes provide full adhesion to the substrate and display uniform bond strength.

Preparation

All surfaces to receive mambrane are prepared to be free of dirt, oils and any residue in compliance with rigorous industry standards.

Primer Application

After the surfaces are meticulously prepared, a layer of primer is rolled onto the surface to receive the membrane. The primer provides temporary waterproofing prior to the application of the membrane. The primer is allowed to cure prior to the application of the membrane.

Membrane Production

Resin and fleece are combined in a single process to create the KEMPEROL® membrane. The membrane is made in the field.

Flashings and Penetrations

After the primer has been laid and cured, flashings, penetrations and difficult transitions are incorporated into the main roof surface through the application of the KEMPEROL® membrane.

Application of KEMPEROL® Membrane

KEMPEROL® resin is applied over the primed surface. High-quality KEMPEROL® polyester fleece is then put into place on top of the resin and subsequently covered with another layer of resin, saturating the fleece from both top and bottom to form a reinforced monolithic membrane.
